Design concepts for party room wall 2017

More versions based on old sketches. I don't consider them fully developed proposals; they need work. Often I've just copied and pasted more than one copy to give a sense of potential composition ideas. I would NOT generally use multiple identical or mirror image pieces. Scroll down for several new thoughts. Background represents 9'6" x 6'9" wall. Horizontal hairlines at approximately 4 feet and 5'6" or so, a high eyeline.

Click here for original page of 13' wall designs if you want to compare.

(Actual designs would not be rescaled versions of one another; this design may need to be simplified/scaled back to fit the budget. ADA restrictions might require some design compromises in these designs.)

I may be able to do this piece this big, if the round is flat. ADA restrictions might require some design compromises in these designs.

A piece with this visual weight can be effective off center on its own, too, depending on what the wall edges look like.

A serious departure.

very sketchy - imagining something along the lines of the previous with more width

This one is a whole different style, and I include it because it's a design I've long wanted to build. However, it is unlikely to come in within the budget at this scale.

These are based on Celtic spirals, and I'm trying to figure out if there are any good ways to create a multi-disc composition that works with the aesthetic, and uses small enough discs to make it possible.

This gives an indication of the scale of a possible single round, and also of the size of pieces that would be needed to compose it.

Center piece is a placeholder to show sort of shape that could go along with two pieces alongside. Side pieces show a possible level of intricacy that could be included in all pieces (or in other layouts shown in other sketches here).

originally designed as vertical, but I like it horizontal

(I think I could manage this at this scale, but it may be hard to accommodate it to ADA restrictions)
