David M Bowman Studio
Patinaed Brass Metalwork
Our last Farmers Market appearance of the year will be on Small Business Saturday - the Saturday after Thanksgiving - at Grand Lake Farmers Market in Oakland. 9am-2pm on 26 November, weather permitting.
We will also be showing at Gifty, the Crucible's holiday show, the first weekend in December. Gifty has a Crucible Members preview night Friday, 2 December from 6-8pm, and will be open to the public Saturday, 3 December, 11am-6pm, and Sunday, 4 December, from 11am-4pm.
We are also planning to host some more independent open studio dates between then and Christmas. We'll be open at least two weekends, and possibly Fridays as well. See our shows page to keep caught up or contact us to get on our mailing list to be notified.
If you can't make it to see us in person, some of our work is available via our Etsy shop, as well as a few other online shops whose links are shown at the bottom left of this page. Our wallpieces, menorahs, book pins, and classic Round vases are all available for purchase direct from this website as well. Or you can always contact us to order something you don't see elsewhere.
Thanks to everyone who came to see our 50 Year Retrospective show at ACCI Gallery in Berkeley. Through the month of May 2022, ACCI Gallery hosted a show to celebrate the 50th anniversary of David's start as a full-time professional craftsperson. We exhibited works from the whole history of the studio, as well as photographs and other historical artifacts and stories of 50 years of metalwork. Click here to see the wallpieces exhibited during the retrospective.
In May 2021 we took part in the First Biennial Art in the Garden Tour - a collaboration between Berkeley Garden Club and ACCI Gallery. The Garden Tour was part of ACCI's month-long exhibition titled "Bold Botanicals," featuring garden art and plant-based and plant-inspired works by ACCI member artists. Stay tuned for more information on the next tour in May 2023.
Locally, you can find our work year-round at ACCI Gallery in Berkeley, some of our jewelry at Lireille on Piedmont Avenue in Oakland, and see a few of our wallpieces on display at Riva Cucina, a great restaurant in West Berkeley; or you can always contact us directly.
