Patchwork copper table sides

I’ve been working on a table commission. In response to the client’s interests, and driven somewhat by circumstance, I came up with a cool new concept for the table’s inset sides. They will be composed of a patchwork of copper squares, offcuts from modular wallpieces. As usual, the work is beautiful even at intermediate stages.

Copper squares laid out as a patchwork. The first side, already brazed, is above.

As they come out after brazing. This is not the color they’re going to be, but I’ll have to use the patchwork copper idea this way sometime.
