First Assembly

The finished but un-patinaed parts of the wallpiece are now laid out. Once we have checked that the composition of the piece is correct, the component parts are drilled on the drill press and then bolted together using brass nuts and machine screws. Final decisions are made as to patinas, then the piece is disassembled in order to apply the surface treatment and patination to the individual pieces.
