The vases are fabricated from brass sheet - cut, hammered and brazed into shape - tested for water tightness, and colored using patina processes normally used with bronze sculpture.

Foldformed 'sketch' vases

I think of the fold-forming process on these pieces as sketching because I start without a final goal in mind and just work until the piece is right; thus the name. I started making them in 2018 as off-shoots from the sketch wallpieces.
